Got late night pizza this time. Slices are extremely big and filling. Taste is mid, toppings are fairly generous, and crust is blegh (which is sad, because normally I love pizza crust). Owner/employees were very lively even late at night and seemed to have a good rapport with a regular customer who came in at the same time we were getting food. Service was fast. Inside was chill, standard late night college food place.

We've been searching for great chicken Parmesan and Penne Vodka for 20 plus years...ever since moving from Brooklyn! We tried places in East Brunswick, Somerset, Highland Park, etc and now we've finally found them both at Knights Express Pizza and Grill down the street in New Brunswick! My daughter found this place only because she was hungry at 2 am. Good for them being one of the only places open at that time! The chicken parmesan had the right tangy sauce on perfectly breaded chicken which was smothered with that delicious mozzarella cheese! We also opted to order penne pasta in vodka sauce. I kid you not, the pasta was perfectly cooked and generously accompanied by rich delicious Vodka sauce! We will be regulars from here on. We look forward to trying the variety of pizzas and maybe the fat sandwiches
Despite its negative reviews , knights express was pretty good in my experience. We ordered the cheese pizza and that lamb gyro with French fries. Although one can't really mess up with a cheese pizza, so ours was in point. The cheese was stretching and melting away with each slice. The lamb itself taste pretty good, hence the sandwich was on point. The French fries were a generous portion. They were golden, crispy and delicious. There are many other items available in the menu and the restaurant being in a college town Area, is open pretty late.
I love this place and the owners. They are the most welcoming folks in the area. The food is yummy and affordable for a college students. Quantity is huge, one dish usually serves me for 3 meals (I am a tiny woman). Go support local businesses
